Payment Gateways

E-Commerce:

A payment gateway is the entity in an e-commerce business that handles transactions between a customer and the financial network. When a customer places an order on a website, the payment gateway encrypts the customers information, and sends it to the processing server for approval. The response is then sent back from the server to the gateway, and the customer checkout is complete.

What happens during my gateway customization?

No matter what gateway product is chosen by a customer, pre-packaged solutions are probably not going to meet their needs as they may have expected. We understand that customers need extra attention as they are familiarizing themselves with a new suite of products. Our experts take the time to understand what payment processes will be in place with their new business, and show the merchant step by step the best way to make those processes work within the payment gateway they have chosen.

Some examples of what our customization entails:

  • Determining which fields are required information for a customer paying by credit card
  • Customizing reports to show relevant data about daily, weekly and monthly credit card transactions
  • Customizing customer receipts to show accurate and detailed information about the purchase and company contact information
  • Setting up individual user ID’s for reps who will be accepting transactions offline
  • Configuring custom fraud settings to match company’s type of business and level of risk
